Turbulance

Today’s photo comes from Yellowstone River, right above the upper falls.  The speed at which this water barrels through the canyon is normally impressive, but you add the tremendous snow melt from last winter and it becomes down right scary.  The ominous mood of that day was also punctuated by relentless thunderstorms.  Getting to stand this close to mother natures raw power was quite a treat.  Also when I headed down to the river I was lazy and not sure of what I was about to see so, I left my tripod back in the car.  To get this long exposure I had to use the timer release and once again balance my camera on a stable handrail.
